One of the most interesting games of round 12 was a derby match between two teams from Holland. Third rankedLeeuwarden edged host Groningen (3-7) 72-71 . Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Joel Murray (183-1999, college: LBSU, agency: Slash Sports) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 4 assists and the other American import guard Robin Duncan (196-1998, college: Vermont) who added 13 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Kjeld Zuidema (194-2001) with 17 points and British-Dutch guard Sam Van Oostrum (197-1998, college: FPU) scored 13 points. Leeuwarden (8-3) have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Kortrijk and Limburg. Loser Groningen dropped to the sixteenth position with seven games lost. They share it with Den Bosch.
